There is a breadth of expertise within the company including digital media, mobile/wireless technology, electronic engineering, aerospace and marketing. Our mobile technology and platforms have all been designed and built in-house with a proven track record of delivering excellent mobile solutions globally.
Management Team
Jim Walz | CEO and President
Jim Walz has had a successful history of ramping up emerging tele–tech technologies and scaling them into profitable enterprises. In the 80's Jim in a number of executive roles built and operated early cellular systems for Bell South Cellular as well as building their national sales operation (now AT&T Wireless). During the early 90's Jim as a founder and Senior VP of Operations for Geotek Inc was responsible for rolling out the first true high–speed wireless data start-up with voice, GPS, and fleet calling in the USA and moving the company to a successful IPO.
In the mid 90's Jim started Iridium North America - the first mobile wireless voice and data network over global satellite. As CEO and President, Jim ramped up the domestic and global infrastructure and worked with international telecom carriers in moving their wireless data and cellular traffic to remote areas globally. In the early 2000’s as CEO and Chairman of MoreMagic Holdings INC, Jim founded and funded MoreMagic Solutions out of Helsinki Finland, the first true provider of an innovative mobile payment infrastructure to serve wireless service providers, financial institutions, and content providers, enabling them to share real time mobile payments in the European M Commerce arena.
During 2005, Jim as General Partner of West Management Inc. an international wireless consulting /investment firm assisted wireless startups with sales & marketing programs targeting Carriers, MVNO’s and Wireless Infrastructure Providers. In 2006 Jim as CEO & President built the North American subsidiary for U-Turn Media Group a mobile software company with a focus on enabling broadcasters, media companies, marketing firms to offer custom-branded mobile community to their viewers and subscribers.
In 2008 Jim was one of the founders of Kloud Mobile. As their CEO and President, Jim seeks to assist key verticals by providing mobile platforms for their clients. Additionally, Jim has held board and advisory positions with various private companies in the wireless space.
Jim heads up the North American operations and is based in Florida in the US.
Matthew Poole | CTO
Matthew Poole has been mobile technologist working in the mobile space for over a decade. During this time he has led many development projects, built award winning mobile platforms and is the hidden face behind the technology running many of the mobile services in the UK and US today. Graduating as an electronics and communications engineer, he is also a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and registered with the Engineering Council UK (EngTech).
After graduating in 1992, Matthew joined the UK's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) as a trainee engineer and went on to become an air-traffic systems design engineer in their labs, designing and prototyping digital and analogue solutions for radar and radio applications. In 1995, Matthew moved into a software systems role as a freelance consultant and systems integrator, designing and building software solutions for organisations such as Johnson Controls, Credit Suisse, Cable & Wireless and Williams Lea FM. During 1996, he co-founded of Advanced Solutions Development, specialising in developing e-business solutions, rolling out global Web applications for organisations such as Buhrmann/Corporate Express and DTZ Debenham Tie Leung.
Matthew's move into the mobile space started when he prototyped SMS marketing solutions in 1999 at a time mobile was really starting to take off in the UK. Aggregators were still far and between so the main way to send and receive messages was using specialist GSM hardware units, or even mobile phones, connected to a PC. In 2000 he worked with business incubator Gorilla Park in London advising and proposing solutions to make their mobile businesses work from a technical perspective, and working with their mobile aggregators.
In 2001, he co-founded Cube:80 - a technology company building mobile platforms to empower creative people, non-programmers, companies and individuals alike, who do not possess inside knowledge of the "black art" of the wireless world to easily develop and deploy useful mobile services, establish and project their brand to mobile consumers, and generate profitable new revenue streams from a world that is increasingly connected via their mobile. Matthew took the company through the technical due diligence procedure during its several rounds of investment, merger and ultimate acquisition.
Matthew is now working with Kloud Mobile where he heads up the UK and European operations, and is based in the South of England.
